How to lose weight and keep it off.

Weight is always a sticky subject but I will try my best to give you some good information. Even though i am NOT a health care professional of any kind.

Here is the email i received…

Dear Between You and Me

1st off let me say thank you for listening to me ramble on about how fat i think I am. I am 5ft 2 in tall and i weight almost 250lbs. I don’t know how or why I let my weight get so out of control but I can’t cry over spilled milk. I have tried every diet I come across and I start off doing great but eventually I gain all the weight I’ve lost back again. Do you have any ideas of what I can do to lose weight and keep it off.

Thank you again for listening

Well the first bit of information I can give you is to Stop saying that you want to lose

weight. If you lose it, then chances are you will find it again. Change your mindset. Say I want to release some weight. If you think of yourself as fat then that’s what you are. Negative energy is never good to hold onto. I will only slow down your success in shedding those unwanted pounds. I know being overweight can be a sore spot but it is very possible to make changes and keep the weight off.

Next, I will say stop drinking sodas. They may taste wonderful but the sugar intake from 1 can of soda can be detrimental. Increase your water intake. Mineral water, alkaline water, sparkling water, purified water……start somewhere. If you need that extra flavor there are several kinds of sugar free or low calorie drops and powders that you can add to your water. Here are a few.

Something that has worked remarkable for me has been Intermittent fasting.

Let me break that down for you in the simplest unscientific way. Intermittent fasting is when you only eat durning a select time and the rest of the time you are fasting. There are several ways you can do this but the most popular is called the 16/8 method. I eat for 8 hours and I fast for 16. For example, I wake up and go about my day and don’t eat until noon. I can eat what I want as long as I don’t overdo it. I can’t just pig out but I am not restricted on my food choice. I fit all my daily meals in and stop by 8 o’clock pm. Then the fasting starts. The good thing about this is that most of the fast is taking place while I’m in dreamland.

How to keep your cravings down until you break your fast at noon.

  1. When you wake up in the morning, Drink a glass of water with 2 Tbs of Raw unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar With the Mother. My preferred brand is by Braggs. Drinking water often will curb those cravings quickly.
  2. Drink Black Coffee
  3. Drink Black, or Green tea
  4. Make sure your last meal is going to fill you so that you stay satiated for a while.

Other Benefits of Intermittent Fasting

  1. Promotes human growth hormone. HGH
  2. Relieves inflammation
  3. anti aging
  4. improve physical performance
  5. normalizes insulin sensitivity
  6. Detoxifies the body

Understanding fasting by the hour

  1. At 12 hours your body is entering a fasted state. Almost to the point of optimal fat burning.
  2. At 16 hours your body is in the fasted state. Your body starts to burn body fat for energy.
  3. At 18 hours your body burns fat faster
  4. At hours 20 to 24 hours of being fasted, your body is burning fat at a rapid pace.

Like i said before, I am not a healthcare professional so I recommend that you go talk to your own doctor to make sure that you are healthy enough to participate in fasting of any time period.

I hope you have much success with the release of those unwanted pounds.
